Honda launches anti-virus car air-conditioning filter-autoX

Honda Motor India has introduced a multi-layer cabin filter to provide a safer in-car experience by protecting occupants from viruses, harmful bacteria and allergies. 

Honda India has introduced anti-virus air-conditioning filters for its cars. Honda and Freudenberg have jointly developed a new multi-layer filter. The new cabin filter consists of four layers, including active allergens and antiviral agents, activated carbon, a base layer and a charged filter layer.

The first layer is coated with the active substance of leaf extract to prevent allergens and bacteria from entering the cabin. Activated carbon helps suppress particulate matter and other harmful gases. Dust and pollen are filtered out by the base layer.

Currently, Honda India retails Amaze, fourth-generation City, fifth-generation City, Jazz and WR-V. The new anti-virus compartment filter can be used as an OEM accessory for all of the above cars.

Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Rajesh Goel, Senior Vice President and Director of Marketing and Sales of Honda Motor India Co., Ltd. said: "With the increasing attention to bacteria, viruses and cabin air quality, we consciously strive to provide positive solutions and a Defense mechanism to reduce possible health hazards due to impaired air quality. This anti-allergen and anti-virus air-conditioning filter is a joint effort between Honda and its suppliers to provide products that can improve the health and safety of car drivers and occupants A good example. We expect that the demand for such protection solutions will increase rapidly in the future.
