The exterior and interior changes can't be neglected either!

The new generation Mercedes-Benz GLS was unveiled in 2019, and despite being only three years old, the luxury SUV is due for a facelift. The only problem is that, like usual, this facelift will only include small exterior changes, with nothing serious happening under the hood. So, it's a good thing we have Mansory, which has already found a way to put a lot more power under the GLS 63 AMG's hood.

From the factory, the AMG GLS 63 comes with the familiar 4.0-liter V-8 engine combined with an integrated EQ Boost starter generator. The engine delivers a total of 603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque, while the generator adds an extra 21 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. When the generator is in use, the GLS 63 AMG delivers a whopping 624 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque - numbers that are not bad at all for a luxury SUV.

Mansory has found a way to increase these numbers even further, and it is in fact offering two different levels of upgrade. The first level - called P720 - only includes a software upgrade and takes the output to 710 horsepower (720 PS) and 737 pound-feet of torque. If you want more, the tuner is also offering a P850 package that, next to the software tuning, adds an upgraded turbocharger and a new sport exhaust system with sport air filter and end pipes with 200 cell cats. The result, in this case, is 838 horsepower (850 PS) and 811 pound-feet of torque.

The base GLS 63 AMG goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds and can hit a top speed of 174 mph. While Mansory did not reveal how the changes it applied will improve the SUV's sprint times, it did reveal that the top speed is now limited to 186 mph. We also expect the sprint time to be improved by 0.2 - 0.3 seconds.

Mansory's customization program for the GLS 63 AMG is more than just working under the hood. The tuner is also offering an extreme body kit with elements made from visible carbon fiber primed without clear coat. Updates include a new front lip and front splitter, and a new diffuser with brake lights included. Changes also include a front mask for the grille and a fender extension that will increase the width of the car. As for the final touches, Mansory is adding a new roof spoiler, new air outtake splitters, new front fender panels, and mirror housings. In order to increase the protection of the body, the package also adds front and rear protective frames. As a final exterior upgrade, Mansory adds a new set of wheels. They come in sizes varying from 22 to 24 inches, in various designs and colors.

The cabin can be trimmed in any combination of fine leather, exclusive wooden trims, carbon fiber, or any mixed special material inlays. All the changes will be handmade by experienced master upholsterers. Mansory adds aluminum pedals and floor and trunk mats made in high-quality velour. Any desired color is available.
