IT'S important to keep your home as clean as possible and those living under your roof healthy and happy.

One businesswoman and mom-of-four has revealed the six easy steps to ensure your home has the best air quality it can.

Kacie Stephens, founder of the Australian company The Big Clean Co, showed her six tips in a video posted to her company’s TikTok page.

First, she advised people to regularly clean air conditioning vents and filters.

“I mean that is giving me asthma through the screen,” she noted over a video showing a dirty vent.

Next, she suggested opening a window every day to let fresh air flow through the house.

Then, Kacie said to vacuum “every couple of days” and to be sure to clean the filter of the vacuum as well.

“Otherwise, you’re pushing polluted air through the house every time it’s on,” she warned.

Kacie’s fifth way to keep the air fresh was to steam clean your home’s carpets once or twice a year.

Finally, she told her followers to fill their homes “with living, breathing plants.”

Plants, according to a report from Time, are natural air purifiers.

For those looking for even more ways to make their homes stay as fresh and clean as possible, there are plenty of other tips, tricks, and hacks from other cleaning fanatics.

A professional janitor once revealed how he cleans sofa cushions without using chemical deodorizers.

A woman previously shared her recipe for “lime power balls,” which are meant to keep places in the house with running water – such as sinks and toilets – clean between deep washes.

A third Tiktoker shared how she keeps her home smelling fresh on a low budget.
