Record high temperatures today and Friday

Corpus Christi, Texas-We will begin to see the high temperature spike this afternoon to above normal levels despite more cloud cover and higher wind values.

This will be in response to the strong cold front entering the Four Corners area starting today. It is expected that it will reach the coastal bend early on Saturday afternoon and the weather will be cooler and drier.

At the same time, we will look for temperatures that are more like summer than entering mid-December. In fact, we will challenge record high levels today and tomorrow.

The highest temperature set today is 87 degrees set in 2004. We will reach 85 degrees in Corpus Christi this afternoon. For tomorrow, the record high is 89 set in 1993, which is also our prediction of the forecast high. Therefore, if we achieve this goal, we will tie the record.

In addition to the heat, we will also have plenty of wind and humidity. The wind speed will remain around 15-25 mph, and gusts may exceed 35 mph, especially in offshore waters where small ships may be consulted.

Then, the aforementioned cold front will enter the area on Saturday morning with only a few isolated showers, filtered through the cool, dry air. The wind will still be strong, but outside the north, the high points will have difficulty getting rid of the upper part of the 1960s to the lower part of the 1970s.

The dark clouds will linger because we will not clear them completely, but there will be cool and pleasant mornings and cool afternoons throughout Sunday.

By the beginning of next week, the southeast wind will return, and the heat will return, as if it had never left. For many coastal bending machines, the high temperature will soar back to the 1980s with humidity.
